What time is Mario Barrios vs. Ryan Garcia boxing match, ring walk?
Ryan Garcia is getting another title shot and the future of his boxing career could hinge on how he manages the presence of a former longtime trainer in the opposing corner.
The controversial 27-year-old boxer and social media influencer returns to the ring Saturday night in Las Vegas when he fights WBC world welterweight champion Mario Barrios to headline a DAZN pay-per-view event.
Garcia won the first 23 fights of his pro boxing career and became WBC interim lightweight champion in 2021, but his rapid rise was derailed beginning with a loss by knockout to Gervonta Davis in April 2023. Garcia fired trainer Joe Goossen after that setback. His fortunes haven’t changed.
A majority decision win over Devin Haney one year later was changed to a no contest and led to a suspension after Garcia tested positive for the banned substance ostarine, a performance enhancing drug. Garcia then lost to Rolando Romero by unanimous decision in his most recent bout in May 2025 in Times Square. He has labeled Goossen, who is training Barrios for this fight, a “traitor.”
Barrios previously beat Abel Ramos to defend his welterweight title as part of the undercard for the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Netflix boxing event in November 2024, and then successfully defended the belt against Manny Pacquiao in his most recent fight last July.
Here is the predicted ring walk time for the Feb. 21 fight between Barrios and Garcia:
