With inflation and rising prices at the grocery store I’ve been buying and trying more No Name Brands like Walmart’s Great Value, Giant Tiger’s Giant Value and Loblaw’s President’s Choice.
Thanks to advice from friends and coworkers I’ve discovered some real gems.
There are some more flavourful potato chip knock off brands out there – especially Sour Cream and Onion and Dill Pickle that seem stronger than the name brands.
I’ve always bought the knock off baking supplies and never noticed any difference.
Mustard is another product where I buy whatever’s cheapest.
Ketchup is the exception – I won’t buy the knockoff because I notice the difference in texture and taste.
Here’s a controversial one – I love the Walmart Great Value coffee.
I used to prefer the President’s Choice brand ground coffee but they doubled the price and drove me away.
