It’s been an interesting couple of weeks in food retail.
First Bugles, the corn chip snack disappeared from store shelves. The company discontinued sales in Canada.
They did this once before about 12 years ago in 2010 because of poor sales but then brought it back so maybe the same thing might happen again.
Then we find out that Bagel Bites are also leaving the country.
If you’ve never experienced these little mini pizzas on a mini bagel they were actually pretty good tasting. They came in a number of flavours including Cheese, Sausage, Pepperoni and Three Cheese.
And , finally, news that Little Debbie is packing her bags and leaving the country taking with her the Cosmic Brownies, the Swiss Rolls and those Oatmeal Cream Pies.
I will admit that Bugles leaving bothered me until I realized I could just replace them with 3D Doritos.
I can make my own minibagels and bagel bites, and Little Debbie, I might miss your Oatmeal Cream Pies but my waistline won’t miss them at all.
