Nova Scotia is reporting 586 new cases today, taking the provincial total of cases to 5,053.
The majority of new cases are in the Halifax area with 393 cases reported in the Central Zone. There were also 106 cases reported in the Eastern Zone, 56 in the Northern Zone and 31 in the Western Zone.
Despite a surge in cases, hospitalizations remain relatively low with only 24 cases currently being treated in hospital (including 3 in ICUs).
