Nova Scotia is reporting 287 new cases of COVID-19 today, the largest amount of cases reported in a single day since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
There are 191 cases in Central Zone, 57 cases in Eastern Zone, 24 cases in Northern Zone, and 15 cases in Western Zone.
No recoveries were reported in today’s figures making the new active case total 570.
The Province also announced that as of December 15, there are currently nine active exposure notices for public schools in Nova Scotia.
The schools with active exposure notices include;
- Astral Drive Junior High in Cole Harbour.
- Atlantic Memorial Terence Bay Elementary in Shad Bay.
- Ellenvale Junior High in Dartmouth.
- Hammonds Plains Consolidated in Hammonds Plains.
- Springvale Elementary School in Halifax.
- Antigonish Education Centre in Antigonish.
- Dr. John Hugh Gillis Regional High School in Antigonish.
- St. Andrews Consolidated School in St. Andrews.
- Strait Area Education and Recreation Centre (SAERC) in Port Hawkesbury.
On a positive note, the province says there are no new cases to report at Parkland Antigonish, the seniors’ living community that has been experiencing an outbreak in recent weeks.
