The Maritime Junior Hockey League announced that Thursday’s game between the Campbellton Tigers and the South Shore Lumberjacks has been postponed.
The move comes after the league announced earlier this week that they were canceling 14 games between December 18 and January 2 due to health restrictions set to be imposed by the Nova Scotia and New Brunswick governments.
The league added the contest between the Jacks and Tigers to the list of postponements on Thursday afternoon.
The MHL also postponed the Tiger’s next game which was scheduled to take place in Summerside, PEI on December 30.
On Monday, New Brunswick reintroduced restrictions that prohibit any athletic activities that involve more than one team, which is the restriction that prohibits these games from taking place.
Nova Scotia is set to impose new restrictions on Friday that would lower the allowed attendance for games and fans would be unable to eat or drink even whilst in their seats.
The league intends to reschedule all games but no dates have been announced at this time.
