Santa Clause will return to Queens County for the 11th Annual Liverpool Fire Department Christmas Parade.
Parade Co-Chair, Terrena Parnell said despite the ongoing pandemic, she feels confident that it’s safe for the event to go ahead.
“We are finally bringing it back,” said Parnell. “We had to cancel last year due to COVID-19, but this year with the gathering limits eliminated, we feel it’s safe to have a parade.”
She added that although this years parade will look a bit different, she hopes it will get people in the holiday spirit.
“We just want to give the kids some joy and let them see Santa Clause, but still follow safety protocols like social distancing and wearing masks if your feeling uncomfortable or if you cannot social distance,” explained Parnell.
Parnell said unlike previous years, there will also be no gathering at the firehall or float judging after the parade.
The 11th annual parade is set to take place on November 28th, with floats leaving Queens Place Emera Center at 6p.m.
The parade route and updates can be found on the 11th Annual Liverpool Fire Department Christmas Parade’s Facebook group.
