In my younger days my parents weren’t much for dining out, at least with us kids.
But there were 2 places we would get to eat in, depending on who was with us.
If it was just my mom with my brother and I when we’d be shopping at Zellers we usually got to stop at the Zellers Family Restaurant (aka the Red Grill) and the food was so good! I really miss that place!
However, if dad was with us he’d always choose Ponderosa. I know now that their steaks were nothing special but at the time I was mesmerized by all the extras like the salad bar and the make your own sundae bar.
What restaurant from your childhood is gone but you really wish it would come back?
