Today I learned that I’ve been loading my groceries on the conveyor belt at the grocery store all wrong! I had no idea!
I felt pretty good about getting all the multiples together, but had no idea that you can really help out the cashier by doing a few simple things.
Cans and heavy items first. Why? Because they go in the bottom of the bag and won’t crush anything.
Eggs and bread last, so they go on top and don’t get crushed.
Also, all cold items should go together. All produce items together.
I think it’s because I used to shop at the low price leader where you bag your own groceries and there are people waiting behind you so you just threw everything into the bags in a jumble and hoped you didn’t squish the bread or break the eggs.
Best part about those few simple rules for putting groceries on the conveyor belt is that when you get home, it makes putting the groceries away so much easier!
Do you organize how you put groceries on the belt at the grocery store?
