According to a recent survey most of us belong to 17 Loyalty or Rewards programs.
I’m probably close to that number. PC Optimum, Canadian Tire Triangle Rewards, Petro Points, Air Miles just to name a few.
However, this past year I noticed that I’ve stopped using them, mostly because I don’t want to spend an extra minute at the checkout.
Sure, if I was going to make a big purchase at Canadian Tire or buy a lot of paint at Home Hardware I would bring the card and use it.
All my cards now sit home in a drawer in my desk.
My gut feeling is that the rewards just aren’t that great anymore. Or it’s just not worth my time to remember to bring the card when I’m making a rare shopping trip.
Do you use your Loyalty/Rewards cards whenever possible? Are they worth it?
