I like ketchup – but sparingly. I like a little bit on the side of my fries to dip in, occasionally I enjoy a little bit of ketchup on my burger and very rarely on a hot dog. (mustard is my go-to condiment)
However, I hope this doesn’t come across as a ketchup putdown but I’ve been grossed out in the past when our youngest would drench her Kraft dinner in ketchup to the point it looked like something from the MASH operating tent.
I know people who like to put ketchup on steak. May I just say if you do this you’re probably cooking your steak wrong.
I’ve seen folks dipping their chicken in ketchup which kind of makes sense when you see how many chicken wing coatings involve ketchup.
Others look forward to a weekend brunch of steak and eggs with ketchup on the eggs.
So, what is a major “nope” for you with ketchup? Steak? KD? Chicken? Or should we just let the tomato goodness flow?
