Lunenburg County RCMP are continuing to investigate a fatal collision which occurred May 31 in North River.
At 1:21 PM the driver of a car lost control on North River Road and the car overturned in a ditch, ejecting both occupants.
RCMP and first responders arrived on scene to find a 31-year old male dead at the scene and a 28-year old female with serious injuries.
The female was airlifted to Halifax via LifeFlight.
When contacted for comment RCMP could not provide any details on her current condition, citing privacy concerns.
“That would be something the family would have to release,” said Cpl. Jennifer Clarke, Media Relations for the RCMP.
Clarke said that they are still trying to determine the cause of the collision and who was driving when it occurred, and are asking anyone who may have seen the accident to contact them at the Bridgewater detachment.
