Great minds think alike, and in the case of Bridgewater’s Rhyno’s Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration and Langille’s Plumbing & Heating Limited, both owners agreed that merging the two award-winning, family-owned businesses would best serve the community.
“We’ll be able to service the public, the area in a faster way, in a better way,” says Jayme Rhyno, owner of Rhyno’s, which has been in operation since 1975.
Rhyno’s and Langille’s are well-known in the Bridgewater area as second-generation family businesses which Rhyno and Langille’s owner Paul Langille each took over from their respective fathers.
Both were familiar with the other’s business and joke they were often on each other’s tails, but both agree their belief in quality and community connection made working together a natural choice.
“We always follow each other around,” remarks Langille.
Both companies officially merged April 15th with Rhyno’s 27 employees and Langille’s 11 employees combining to become a nearly 40-person team.
The merger combines two strengths, complementing and supporting each other’s trade specialty. Rhyno’s — with its focus on heating, cooling and ventilation, and Langille’s with its expertise in plumbing services are now a one-stop shop for all commercial and residential needs.
“When you price the mechanical, you have a better chance of getting it,” shares Rhyno. “It’s all one price instead of a contractor having to deal with five different trades if they can deal with one.”

Rhyno’s and Langille’s are now located at 250 North Street in Bridgewater
Being able to provide a complete picture and offerings gives the company a competitive edge and is more beneficial for commercial work requiring multiple trades. Rhyno’s and Langille’s team have staff certified in multiple trades and will have opportunities to train for licenses and trade certifications with the different services they offer.
“If a plumber is interested in being an oil burner mechanic, we definitely have that opportunity within the two organizations,” adds Langille.
While its North Street location now shows the names for both Rhyno’s and Langille’s, the company is now known as Rhyno’s, with Langille’s faucet water-drop logo to be incorporated into the new company branding the next six-to-twelve months.
Becoming one united company and offering a full range of services is the most important detail to Rhyno and Langille, who agree everything, and everyone are staying in place, offering the same customer service, support and familiar faces.
“With that customer service we answer our phones; there is no automation, says Rhyno. “Even after five o’clock or midnight or three in the morning, there is still a live person that answers the phone. There’s no answering machine, there’s no voicemails.”
“It’s about keeping the customer happy, giving them what the customer wants,” adds Langille. “They want service, they want it done today and done right.”
