It’s a sad day for legumes everywhere!

It is with heavy hearts that we confirm that Mr. Peanut has died at 104. In the ultimate selfless act, he sacrificed himself to save his friends when they needed him most. Please pay your respects with #RIPeanut pic.twitter.com/VFnEFod4Zp

Mr Peanut died heroically while saving his friends, including actor Wesley Snipes!
Pick up some peanuts from South Shore grocery stores today to honour this hero… and even save some for the big game on February 1st.
And if you’re feeling extremely sad over the loss of this iconic mascot… I have a feeling Mr. Peanut will return in a future Super Bowl ad :p
