CJLS will continue to provide local news, weather and programming under a new name.
Station owner Acadia Broadcasting Limited officially launched Y95 today
Musically, listeners can expect a better variety of today’s hits and yesterday’s favourites.
Acadia Broadcasting President Chris Pearson was in Yarmouth for the launch today.
Pearson says Y95 will maintain, enhance and grow local content.
“It shouldn’t take very long to listen to one of the radio stations in the markets that we serve, and for people to know its being broadcast from that specific market. Anything we do at this point, we’re trying to enhance that and make it better for the listener and better for the community while supporting both.”
Station Manager Dave Hall says Y95 will continue to serve the community.
“We’re trying to take a fresh, new approach to our programming, but still we’ll provide a lot of the local news, weather and sports that our listeners want. We hope people join us and stay with Y95.”
