Drivers of electric cars have reason to celebrate.
Nova Scotia Power announced a network of 12 fast-charging stations across the province including stations in Bridgewater, Liverpool, Shelburne and Yarmouth.
The stations are each located roughly 65 kilometres apart.
They will charge a vehicle in 15 to 30 minutes allowing electric vehicle drivers to easily travel the province.
The federal government contributed $600,000 to build the network while NS Power’s parent company Emera funded the rest.
As an incentive to try out the network, a home residential charging station will be awarded to the first electric vehicle driver to visit all 12 locations.
