An annual tradition for canoe and kayak enthusiasts goes tomorrow in Shelburne County.
The Barrington River Run is back, and begins at 10am at Clements Pond.
The route will follow the Pond Branch to Barrington Lake, then down the Barrington River.
Organizer Darren Hudson says it’s going to be ‘a day of adventure.’
“This is a community gathering, and a good time to be with like-minded friends on the river. We focus on the outdoor experience of canoeing, and we keep it clean and fun and safe.”
Hudson says there are five sets of rapids, and and inexperienced paddlers are asked to stay with the group.
“Make sure you know how to do your various strokes. If you can’t handle the rapids, there are lots of people around at each run to help you out, and fellow paddlers giving you tips and tricks on the river.”
The run finishes at the Wild Axe Park.
