Three people have been charged after a robbery at a New Germany drug store Saturday afternoon.
At around 1:35 police received multiple calls reporting an armed robbery at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Highway 10.
The owner reported they had been robbed by two men with knives and a witness reported seeing the men run from the store, dropping pill bottles and cash as they fled.
The suspects left the scene in a car and the witness followed and provided police with updates on the location of the car.
Police stopped the vehicle on Monk Road and arrested two male passengers and a female driver without incident.
In the car, police found pill containers, cash, needles, gloves, and a bandanna one of the suspects wore during the robbery.
Three people were charged with the following offences:
Krishna Michael Eisener, 22, of Bridgewater:
– Robbery
– Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
– Possession of Stolen Property
– Possession of a Controlled Substance (7 counts)
– Wearing a Mask While Committing an Indictable Offence
– Assault With a Weapon
– Resisting Arrest
– Breach of Probation
Tyler Blaine Jonathan Veinotte, 24, of Cookville:
– Robbery
– Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
– Possession of Stolen Property
– Possession of a Controlled Substance (7 counts)
– Wearing a Mask While Committing an Indictable Offence
– Assault With a Weapon
– Resisting Arrest
– Breach of Conditions (5 counts)
Krystal Mae Doris Kempton, 34, of Mill Village
– Robbery
– Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
– Possession of Stolen Property
– Possession of a Controlled Substance (7 counts)
All three are scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court today.
In a news release the RCMP acknowledged the quick thinking of the witnesses who provided assistance.
