New Specialized Healthcare on The Way For Nova Scotia

Some new specialized healthcare is on the way for Nova Scotia. The province has announced the first phase of what will become Canada’s first Menopause Centre of Excellence, starting with a new clinic dedicated to supporting people through perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause. The clinic will bring together a full care team, including a general practitioner, registered nurse, pelvic floor physiotherapist, dietitian, and gynecologist, offering both in-person and virtual care across the province. The project is being led by Nova Scotia’s Department of Health and Wellness in partnership with the Menopause Society of Nova Scotia, IWK Health, and Nova Scotia Health, with clinic space expected to open sometime in winter 2026 into 2027.
