For 38 years, Johnny Van Zant has served as the lead singer of Lynyrd Skynyrd, taking over from his brother Ronnie, who tragically passed away—along with several other original band members, in a 1977 plane crash. Since then, the band has continued to remain relevant and popular, and is now celebrating 50 years of rocking!
They’ll be at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax on September 23rd!
I had a chance to talk to Johnny about the band’s lasting legacy. Have a listen!
