The Long Lake group of wildfires in Annapolis County has grown to about 3210 hectares, according to a 2:45 p.m. update from the Department of Natural Resources.
The evacuation zone has also expanded to the south, but no additional homes were added to the zone, and the fire has jumped over West Dalhousie Road near Spectacle Lakes.

The fire grew to about 2063 hectares overnight, according to an update from 10:35 a.m.
The Department of Natural Resources says a few campers/trailers have been destroyed but they have not received any reports of damaged homes.
Four planes from the Northwest Territories are on scene, along with 2 contracted helicopters. Firefighters on the scene include 77 from DNR, 22 from Ontario, 5 from P.E.I. Local firefighters are taking a break, but 10 are still on scene. DNR will release another update this afternoon.
DNR says the Long Lake wildfire complex, meaning a group of fires, was about 1977 hectares Sunday evening and had moved past Godfrey Lake to the intersection of the Fairns and West Dalhousie roads on one side. It had also moved to the south side of Spectacle Lakes on the other.
If you have been evacuated because of the Long Lake fire, register at the NSCC in Middleton or online as soon as possible so that emergency responders can make sure everyone is safe and to determine if people need overnight accommodations.
Simonds Lake wildfire, Digby County
The Simonds Lake fire is still at about 1.75 hectares, but it is now being held, Scott Tingley, manager of forest protection at DNR, said in a press conference at 2 p.m.
Ten DNR and 16 local firefighters were on the scene now Monday morning.
The fire popped up Sunday evening.
DNR will release another update on the fires this afternoon.
