It will be a lot less expensive to fill up your tank on your drive in, Tuesday, with the carbon tax set to go away.
Liberal Leader Mark Carney signed off on getting rid of it two weeks ago, after he was sworn in as prime minister.
This means quarterly rebate cheques will also be scrapped with the last of those sent out in April.
The carbon tax law still exists on the books but what you will actually pay, will be zero.
The carbon tax currently adds 17 cents to a litre of gasoline and 21 cents to a litre of diesel.
The price will adjust at midnight, Monday.
Meantime, the provincial portion of HST is also set to go down by one per cent to 14, Tuesday.
This was an election promise from Premier Tim Houston.
