A woman is facing charges after a Halifax fire truck was stolen, Monday morning.
Police say it happened around 5 a.m. when fire crews were responding to a fire alarm at a building on Almon Street.
While on scene, a woman got into a truck and drove away.
Officers got the call just before 6 a.m. and found the truck unoccupied at the intersection of Clifton and Charles Streets.
The woman was arrested a half hour later on Gottingen Street.
There were no injuries and no reports of property damage.
The 28-year-old is scheduled for court, Monday to face these charges:
- Assault a peace officer
- Mischief
- Mischief endangering life
- Operation of a conveyance while impaired to any degree by alcohol or drugs or combination of both
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand for testing
- Theft over $5000.00
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.00
