Police say five people were arrested after a search warrant was executed at a home in Gold River earlier this week.
The operation, led by the Southwest Nova Street Crimes Enforcement Unit, turned up weapons, drugs, contraband tobacco, and stolen property.
Among the items seized were two replica firearms, two crossbows, suspected cocaine and methamphetamines, a stolen motorcycle, and 40 cases of contraband cigarettes—about 8,000 in total.
Three other vehicles were also taken as offence-related property.
Investigators worked with the Nova Scotia SPCA to remove five dogs from the property after officers determined the living conditions were unfit.
Several RCMP units assisted in the search, including members from Lunenburg District, the Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services, and Criminal Intelligence Service Nova Scotia, with support from Bridgewater Police.
Five people were arrested at the scene.
Three of them have since been charged and released on conditions pending future court appearances.
Another was released and will appear in court at a later date, while one person was released without charges.
