Following Chrystia Freeland’s departure from cabinet, her duties have been spread between two people.
Dominic LeBlanc will take over Freeland’s portfolio for Internal Trade.
LeBlanc has his hands full, since he is already President of the King’s Privy Council for Canada and Minister responsible for Canada-U.S. Trade, Intergovernmental Affairs.
Steve McKinnon who is the government house leader will also take over as Transport Minister.
Freeland herself has been appointed as Canada’s Special Representative for the Reconstruction of Ukraine.
