I know, I know summer’s not over yet!
But I’m just getting you prepared for the cold weather ahead. Like it or not, winter is around the corner, and The Old Farmer’s Almanac has released its predictions for our area.
Here’s the breakdown of what’s expected:
- Wet & Mild Overall: The Old Farmer’s Almanac is calling for a milder-than-average winter across much of Canada, including Nova Scotia. But “mild” still means cold—just not as extreme as usual.
- Frequent Precipitation: Nova Scotia is forecast to receive above-normal precipitation, mostly in the form of rain-snow mixes.
- Snowfall: Despite the milder temperatures, snowfall is expected to be above normal, especially during mid-November, December, and early January.
