This year’s ‘Miracle Treat Day’ has a celebrity boost.
Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand was at Dairy Queen’s Fall River location to meet and greet fans Thursday.
The NHL star tells Acadia News that it means a lot to support the IWK.
“I think it’s such a great opportunity. Especially being a Dad, it really hits home on what families and kids go through when they’re in there,” said Marchand.
“Any opportunity to give back and help be part of something special, it’s great. Dairy Queen has raised so much money and changed so many lives, it’s incredible.”
The Hammonds Plains native declared his love for Blizzard treats during this year’s Stanley Cup playoffs, leading to the partnership with Dairy Queen.
Marchand celebrated his second career Stanley Cup last month with family and friends in Halifax.
