A 28-year-old Ontario man is facing charges after a woman in Nova Scotia was forced into the sex trade nearly a decade ago.
RCMP say the incidents happened over a two-month period in 2016.
Investigators received the report in February and arrested the suspect in Kingston last Sunday, where he now lives.
The Nova Scotia Human Trafficking Unit has charged him with Trafficking in Persons, Procuring Sexual Services, Advertising Sexual Services, Material Benefit from Trafficking in Humans, and Material Benefit from Sexual Services.
He appeared in Halifax court, was released on conditions and is scheduled again in July.
