New Glasgow Regional Police and the RCMP have seized the red Fiat linked to a Hants County man wanted on a province-wide warrant, but he remains at large.
Andrew Scott Barker, a 47-year-old from Hants County, faces charges of unlawful confinement, assault, assault with a weapon, administering drugs, uttering threats, robbery and motor-vehicle theft.
Barker is described as 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds, with green eyes and short brown hair and beard.
The RCMP and Police Dog Services assisted New Glasgow Regional Police after a reported sighting of Barker just before midnight on Tuesday.
Officers located and seized the red Fiat he had been driving, but Barker escaped before he could be arrested.
RCMP say they’ve made several attempts to locate him and are now turning to the public for assistance.
Police added that anyone who spots Barker should not approach him and to call 911 immediately.
