Dreams came true for over 200 hockey players at the QMJHL Draft in Quebec City.
The Saint John Sea Dogs selected forward Alexis Joseph from Montreal with the first overall pick in Friday’s first round.
They also took Quebec forward Nolann Heroux with the 10th selection.
The Halifax Mooseheads went with defender Malik L’Italien of Montreal third overall, and also took American defender Cameron Minella in the second round.
Cape Breton traded into the first round to select forward Olivier Charron 14th.
The top Nova Scotian drafted was Bedford’s Phenwick MacLean to Newfoundland eighth overall, the top New Brunswicker was Marc MacPhee of Dieppe, he was Moncton’s first pick of the draft in the second round.
