Rimouski came back swinging with two back-to-back goals, giving them a 2-1 lead at the end of the first.
But the Wildcats recovered quickly, with Juraj Pekarcik scoring 1:27 into the second and Gabe Smith adding one less than three minutes later.
Etienne Morin scored Moncton’s fourth goal of the game early in the third period, with Smith and Alex Mercier adding empty-net goals with less than two minutes to go.
