If you are a fan of hot and humid weather, it looks like you will be in luck this summer.
The Weather Network has released its seasonal forecast for June through August.
Much of the country is expected to see above-normal temperatures, including most of Atlantic Canada.
“Above-normal temperatures are forecast for the Maritimes and portions of Newfoundland, near normal for the Avalon and Burin peninsulas,” said Meteorologist Laura Power.
“We could see some overnight lows that creep above normal at times, but expect a warm and humid summer.”
In terms of precipitation, Power said there is a chance for above-normal amounts for much of Atlantic Canada.
The exception is eastern Nova Scotia, Cape Breton and Newfoundland and Labrador, where totals are expected to be near normal.
“We do have a risk at some heavy rainfall events, as well as a higher risk for tropical impacts,” added Power.
