A large ship has deployed from Halifax.
HMCS Ville de Quebec, is sailing tens of thousands of kilometres to the Indo-Pacific region on Operation HORIZON.
The crew has about 240 members, who said farewell to their families and loved ones at a ceremony Monday morning.
The mission involves peace, stability and the rules-based international order.
It will join a UK ship along the way, then proceed to the region with many other vessels.
