We’re less than a week away. The solar eclipse will be happening next Monday, starting just after 4:30 our time.
Nova Scotia isn’t in the total eclipse area. Well, except for around Meat Cove. The northern most tip of Cape Breton. Otherwise, most of us just get close. But close could still be an interesting sight.
Only thing is, you need eclipse glasses in order to look at the eclipse and not damage your eyes. Even in areas like this, where we won’t be getting the full effect, you should still be wearing proper eye protection.
But where do you get proper eye protection, in the form a eclipse glasses? Good question.
We’ve been getting a few calls from people looking. A few places had eclipse glasses, but are now sold out. And since the actual event is less than a week away, it’s unlikely much new stock will be arriving.
So if you know where to get eclipse glasses, pass it along. People would like to know.
