Tomorrow is the eleventh day of the eleventh month. Remembrance Day.
It is a day to say a simple thank you to those who were asked to perform some pretty difficult tasks on our behalf. Some were our grandparents. Our mothers and fathers and aunts and uncles. Our brothers and sisters, friends and neighbours.
Many of us have heard stories, but probably still have no idea what these people faced. Some returned. Some didn’t. But tomorrow we can take a few minutes to say thank you to them all.
There will be services all around our area tomorrow. If you can, please try to attend one near you. Or you can join us as we broadcast the service live from Veterans Memorial Park in Bridgewater. Or even just take a few minutes to reflect.
It’s a few minutes that can mean a lot.
