A week-long wildfire in Shelburne County is now under control.
The Department of Natural Resources says it burned over 56 hectares of land in Little Harbour.
They say some staff, a helicopter and volunteer firefighters remain on scene putting out hotspots.
In a tweet, the department thanked everyone who responded to the fire.
Several people were forced from their homes earlier in the week, but all have since returned.
(1/2) Little Harbour, Shelburne Co. update (10:25am): The wildfire is now under control at a final size of 56.5 ha. 17 DNRR, 3 volunteer firefighters, & 1 helicopter remain onsite searching for hotspots and extinguishing them. This will be the last update for this fire.
