Are you ready for potato ice cream? Van Leeuwen the artisanal ice cream chain based out of Brooklyn, New York have unveiled their latest concoction: Malted Milkshake & Fries ice cream, made in partnership with the Idaho Potato Commission
There’s science behind the satisfying combination of crispy, salty fries dipped into a cold, rich, creamy shake kinda like Wendy’s French Fries with a large Frosty . The Malted Milkshake & Fries flavor adds in butter, powdered sugar, malted barley, and wheat flour, plus some Idaho potato flakes — that’s their way of recreating fry pieces.
I’ve dipped my fries into a Wendy’s Frosty. It was…ok.
But my favourite thing to dip my fries into is a big blob of HP Sauce.
