Trevor Heisler was scheduled to make his first appearance in Bridgewater Provincial Court this morning in relation to the fatal collision along Highway 103 that took place on the morning of July 27.
During Heisler’s scheduled appearance, his lawyer Shawnee Gregory revealed that she would be requesting a delay in proceedings as Heisler has been in a coma since the collision and she has yet to have the chance to speak with him.
Gregory indicated Heisler’s condition is believed to be improving and as such she requested his next hearing be moved to Friday, August 5, in hopes she will have had the chance to speak with him by that time.
Heisler has been charged with; Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance Causing Death (2 counts) and Theft of a Conveyance.
The collision which he was involved in claimed the lives of a 60-year-old woman, and a 63-year-old man, both of Hubbards.
