
Remembrance Day services are being held around the South Shore on November 11th.
Many Legions are still concerned COVID-19 and will be taking some extra precautions.
Veteran’s Memorial Park – Bridgewater:
The service will be going ahead this year with just the ceremony at Veteran’s Memorial Park.
There will be no events at the Bridgewater Legion or the Baptist Church.
Members of the public are being encouraged to watch the ceremony virtually or listen to it live on CKBW or Country 100.7 rather than attend in person.
The live broadcast of the service will begin shortly before 11a.m.
Chester Cenotaph:
The service will begin at the Chester Cenotaph between 10:30 and 10:45a.m.
Members of the public are invited to attend and are encouraged to wear a mask.
Lunenburg Cenotaph:
Everyone is welcome to attend the Remembrance Day service in Lunenburg.
The Legion Parade will depart for the service at 10:45 a.m.
The Remembrance service will run from 10:50a.m. to 11:30a.m.
Mahone Bay Cenotaph:
A Remembrance day ceremony will be held at the Town Cenotaph in Mahone Bay starting at 10:50a.m.
The public is welcome to attend.
Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask and social distance while at the Cenotaph.
Liverpool Cenotaph:
The Service will take place the Cenotaph at the Town Hall Arts & Cultural Centre on Main Street beginning at 10:45a.m.
The public is welcome to attend and masks are required.
