You’re now able to double check if you or your business have the day off on Remembrance Day.
The province has developed the Remembrance Day Act assessment tool.
The questionnaire asks about your job or business, to determine if the employer can open to work.
Minister of Labour, Skills and Immigration, Jill Balser explains how the questions the tool asks can be different.
“Depending on if you are an employer or an employee, the questions might look a little different but it really is to help navigate and answer those questions of whether or not a business should be open.”
Balser says Remembrance Day is important for reflection.
“And we really wanted Nova Scotians to understand that the tool is easy to use for businesses and employees, especially new businesses to know if they’re going to be opened or closed.”
You can find the online assessment tool here. It’s available in both English and French.
Remembrance Day is Thursday, November 11th.
