
Two people are facing charges after a search warrant was executed in Bridgewater.
On Thursday around 12:30p.m., members of the South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, Bridgewater Police GIS, RCMP GIS, and Bridgewater Police Patrol conducted a search warrant on King Street.
According to a release from the Bridgewater Police Service, the search resulted in the seizure of imitation firearms, cocaine, methamphetamine, and cash.
Police say as a result, James Allen Backman has been charged with, Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace Bear Spray, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace Imitation Hand Gun, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace Imitation Assault Rifle and Breach of a Recognizance.
Backman was remanded as is scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on Friday.
Kaila Clements has also been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine.
Clements was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court in December to enter a plea.
