Police are searching for witnesses after a 19-year-old Nova Scotia man was killed in Ottawa earlier this week.
Eric Hewer of Sydney was out celebrating his birthday in the nation’s capital when he was stabbed on Monday. He was rushed to hospital but it was too late.
Another man was also stabbed and was brought to hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
Ottawa Police are now looking for anyone who witnessed a fight between three e-scooter riders and a black Volkswagen just after 8:30 that evening.
Investigators say they’ve identified those involved, but didn’t release further details.
No charges have been laid at this time.
Meantime, a GoFundMe has raised over $35,000 in support of Hewer’s mother.
