South Shore Veterinary Hospital in Wileville has announced that one of their staff member has tested positive for COVID-19
In a post on social media, they say that the staff member has not been to the clinic in the past week, high risk staff are currently self isolating and the building has received a deep cleaning.
The veterinary clinic is deemed as an essential service and will continue to operate, although they are asking for patience as they are currently operating with fewer staff.
Although they were not mandated by Public Health to inform the public, they felt that they should be upfront with their clients.
They say due to their prolonged closed door policy which has been in place since April 24th, there is little to no risk to the general public.
