Still many questions surrounding what caused a lockdown at two hospitals in Lunenburg county on Friday.
The South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater and Fisherman’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg were both on lockdown for part of the morning late last week.
Spokesperson for the Nova Scotia Health Authority, Brendan Elliot, says he can’t get into specifics, but adds lockdowns are done to protect patients, visitors and staff.
Reports on social media indicated a heavy police presence at the hospitals and a Life Flight helicopter could be seen flying around the hospital.
No one was allowed inside the building during the lockdown as a safety measure.
Bridgewater Police have not commented on the situation.
