Some relief at the pumps for drivers in Nova Scotia.
The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board used its interruptor clause to drop the price of regular gas by 8.2 cents per litre.
The prices of gas now ranges between $1.23 to $1.27 depending on where you live in the province.
Its the first time the province’s gas regulator invoked the interruptor clause has been used since last year when prices plummeted below $0.80 per litre in the midst of lockdowns due to the pandemic.
The clause is a mechanism used to reflect large swings in market prices typically resulting in at least a six cent increase or decrease.
There was no change in the price of diesel.
