Three year old Dylan Ehler was last seen near Queen and Elisabeth Streets in Truro, wearing a coat with a fur hood, camo pants and rubber boots.
The search for a missing 3-year-old boy continues in Truro with a focus of search efforts on the area of Salmon River running through the town.
Dylan Ehler went missing Wednesday afternoon while visiting his grandmother, and was last seen near Queen and Elisabeth Streets.
A search of the area started around 1:30 pm yesterday with efforts from the Truro Police and fire services, ground search and rescue crews as well as air support and assistance from provincial emergency management.
Halifax Ground Search and Rescue has since relieved the Colchester Search and Rescue team.
Ehler’s mother, in a public Facebook post around 11 AM, said his boots had been found near the river. Police have since confirmed they found his boots last evening in the water of Lepper Brook, which runs into Salmon River.
Truro Police are confident foul play was not part of Ehler’s disappearance.
The three year old was last seen wearing a jacket with a faux fur hood, camouflage pants, and rubber boots at the time of his disappearance.
Truro police ask anyone who sees Ehler, or knows any information about his whereabouts to contact them at 902-895-5351.
