With questions on when COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted, another South Shore festival has postponed their events.
In a release, the Privateer Days Commission says with Dr. Robert Strang noting it could be several months before large gatherings are allowed, they have pushed the Privateer Days to next year.
Terrena Parnell, chair of the commission says the choice was a hard one, but the safety of their volunteers and attendees comes first.
She says “We will come back bigger and better next year. Our hope is everyone is staying safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. Stay home, stay safe and we will see you all in 2021.”
The festival, often held in June in Liverpool, sees a full weekend of 18th century battle re-enactments, musical entertainment, and many other activities.
Privateer Days is expected to return June, 2021.
