A 49-year-old Lunenburg County woman was arrested following a two month investigation into suspicious incidents.
RCMP say between Dec. 30 2019 and Jan. 27 2020, police received multiple calls about a woman visiting homes claiming to be a home care worker.
They also say some incidents resulted in thefts.
Cpl. Lisa Croteau, Public Information Officer of the Halifax District RCMP says the residents visited by the suspect had all received home care service from a home care company.
However, she says on the dates of the incidents, the suspect was not scheduled, and police later determined she was not employed by that company or as a home care worker.
All of the victims in these incidents were over the age of 80.
On February 13, police arrested Linda Deloris Tibbo and charged her with five counts of Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling and Theft under $5,000.
She is expected to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on May 27th.
Police say the investigation is continuing and they feel there may be more victims. They ask anyone who feels they are a victim or have concerns about someone who could be a victim to contact the Lunenburg District RCMP at 902-527-5555.
