
Former Premier Gerald Regan could be heard giving play-by-plays of local hockey games over the air on CKBW early in his career.
Former Premier Gerald Regan has passed away at the age of 91.
Premier Stephen McNeil’s office offered its condolences in a news release on Wednesday morning.
Regan died on Tuesday, according to the release.
“Gerald Regan believed in the potential of Nova Scotia, with a vision for our future prosperity. He governed with a true sense of liberal values – investing in people, creating economic development and ensuring fiscal responsibility,” said Premier McNeil.
Regan served as premier from 1970-78, and also served two terms as an MP – from 1963-65 and again from 1980-84.
He was also found reporting play-by-plays for local hockey games on CKBW early in his career.
