As of 4:00pm, Nova Scotia Power has fewer than 200 customers without electricity, mostly in Queens and Lunenburg counties.
After nine days, about 30 people are in the dark between Moshers Island and LaHave Island, with an additional 43 near Indian Point.
Crews need to be flown by helicopter or taken by boat to repair several poles on the islands that were knocked down during the storm.
At it’s height, Hurricane Dorian knocked out power for over 400,000 customers.

Nova Scotia Power has announced they are de-escalating their response to Hurricane Dorian.
The corporation worked to restore power to 411,000 Nova Scotians thrown into the dark by the hurricane.
They also had to deal with an additional 50,000 outages in the aftermath caused by weakened trees.
NS Power mobilized 1,300 line technicians who worked alongside forestry technicians and damage assessors as well as hundreds of other employees who worked behind the scenes.
The Emergency Operations Centre which was activated September 6 will remain operational until he final customer is restored.
The corporation’s President and CEO Karen Hutt says “Dorian’s destruction was unprecedented, and so is Nova Scotian’s support.”
She thanks customers for their words of encouragement and acts of kindness over the past week.
